Sangita Corporation, operating as Vivo in Gloucester, MA, is seeking a Seafood Packer / Production Worker to join our fast-paced seafood team. This hands-on role focuses on packing, processing, and ensuring quality in a cold production environment.

No prior seafood experience is required, but reliability, physical stamina, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are important. You will work early shifts as needed and contribute to a clean, safe facility following HACCP and GMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience not required in seafood processing or manufacturing.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks in a cold, wet environment.
• Reliable and punctual with flexibility for early shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

• Pack and process fresh and/or frozen seafood products according to quality and safety standards
• Inspect seafood products for quality, freshness, and proper weight
• Operate packaging equipment and production line machinery as needed
• Label, sort, and organize finished seafood products for shipment or storage
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation in compliance with food safety regulations
• Follow all HACCP, GMP, and workplace safety guidelines
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving product inventory as directed

Requirements:

• No prior experience in seafood processing, food production, or a manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a cold, wet environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning or varying shifts as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting
