Texas NeuroRehab Center is currently accepting applicants for an EVS Worker. This candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres. We have served the Austin community for over 60 years and are proud of our history and tenured leadership team.
Today, Texas NeuroRehab Center provides complex medical and brain injury rehab for ages 13 years and older and neurobehavioral residential treatment services for children and adolescents. The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents, and adults facing difficult challenges.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities : Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Education : High school graduation or GED.
Licensure / Certification : Current Driver’s License or State issued ID.
Experience : 1 to 2 years in a hospital setting preferred.
Physical / General Requirements : Ability to sustain physical activity; on feet eight hours per day. Ability to push and pull a vacuum cleaner. Ability to operate high-speed machines for bonneting carpet, stripping, and scrubbing floors. Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, squatting, i.e., picking up trash, cleaning corners and edges of floors, furniture, and fixtures. Frequent lifting and carrying between 25 and 40 pounds. Ability to read labels on chemicals and understand hazard labels and MSDS. Regular attendance and flexibility to work in other EVS areas. Emotional stability to perform essential functions and handle changing priorities. Effective communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and others.
