Job summary

The City of McAllen, TX is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health Administrator to assist in managing the department and supervising staff. You will plan, conduct, and execute environmental health programs while ensuring compliance with City ordinances and Texas health laws.

You will lead efforts to prevent and control foodborne and communicable diseases, contributing to public health and safety across the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in public health administration is preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of City ordinances and Texas Health laws.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to assist in the administration of the department including supervising department staff, planning, conducting and execution of environmental health programs. Responsible for enforcement of City ordinances and State of Texas Health laws and regulations and responsible for the prevention and/or control of food borne diseases and communicable diseases.
