Your primary focus will be comprehensive financial planning, including investments and insurance, to help clients with their full financial picture. You will create customized financial plans based on potential life changes and evolving financial needs, and help clients implement recommendations such as life insurance, savings plans, mutual funds, and other financial products.
What you get!
- 2-5 years of professional experience is required. Familiarity with financial planning is a plus but not necessary. We will fully train you with a roadmap to success, reimburse study materials and licensing costs.
- Potential earnings: If you follow the roadmap, you can potentially earn $80,000 - $100,000 in commissions annually.
- Our work environment requires occasional in-office presence, so candidates must be local to Burlington, VT.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic recommendations for products, plans, investments, and other methods to help clients achieve financial goals.
- Gather and assess each client’s financial information to determine factors like financial status, cash flow, monetary expectations, financial goals, retirement plans, and wealth management considerations.
- Embrace a structured, coachable team role with ongoing education and training.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients as their trusted financial advisor.
- Customize financial plans based on clients’ professional circumstances, life stages, and financial needs.
- Client acquisition and marketing, discovery, case development & analysis, financial plan presentation, implementation, and ongoing service.
Qualifications:
- Strong math, communication, and relationship skills to support excellent customer service.
- FINRA Series 7 & 63/66 licenses are a bonus.
- Basic understanding of a financial advisor’s role and interest in the financial industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM systems, financial planning software, Google Suite, and related tools is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in client services, insurance, investments, or financial services.
- Familiarity with financial planning is a plus but not necessary.
Compensation:
$80,000 - $100,000+ at plan commission.
