Job summary

Impact is seeking an entry‑level Web Pressman I to assist in the operation of web presses under experienced operators. This role centers on learning press fundamentals, supporting daily production, maintaining quality, and adhering to safety procedures while developing skills for advancement.

You will perform basic setup assistance, threading webs, monitoring ink/water/paper flow, and participate in on‑the‑job training to progress toward independent operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn web press operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior press operators with setup, makeready, and press operation.
• Load paper rolls and help thread webs through the press.
• Monitor ink, water, and paper flow during production runs.
• Perform basic press adjustments as directed.
• Assist with press changeovers and cleanup.
• Inspect printed product for basic quality issues (registration, color, defects).
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements.
• Communicate effectively with press crew and supervisors.
