Summary

This position provides technical support within the Civil/Environmental Department in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities include supporting projects for public and private clients, focusing on the energy sector, including solar projects, reclamation, bioenergy, natural gas pipelines, pads, and compressor stations. Support may extend to other projects managed within the department and office. Activities are directed by the Civil/Environmental Department Manager. The role is based in Pittsburgh but may support remote or other office locations.

Your Role
  • Support modeling and design of Post Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) controls.
  • Assist in designing erosion and sediment control measures for permit applications.
  • Participate in various project phases from proposal to implementation, collaborating with internal teams including administrative, CADD, GIS, wetlands, and construction.
  • Review and ensure compliance with relevant regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Contribute to project proposals and ensure project completion within schedule and budget.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, providing and receiving guidance on design and permitting tasks.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Entry to five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience or coursework in permitting, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management preferred.
  • Experience working with state and local agencies and community boards is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ESCGPs, Chapter 105 GPs, JPAs, Land Development, and NPDES applications is a plus.
  • Pre-employment drug screening required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
