Job summary

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) seeks an Entry to Mid-Level Environmental Scientist to support fieldwork and remediation projects in New Hudson, MI. Responsibilities include groundwater sampling, monitoring, data collection and report preparation.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Geology or Environmental Science, 1–4 years of related experience (UST a plus), and strong communication and teamwork skills. GES offers a hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 1-4 years of related experience; UST experience is a major plus.
• Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, organization, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform groundwater sampling, gauging and product bailing, and surveying.
• Participate in monitoring well installations and sampling events.
• Compile and complete field notes on each event/site.
• Record data, prepare reports, provide analysis and interpretations of findings based on scientific experimentation and existing knowledge.
• Complete quarterly groundwater monitoring reports.
• Perform hydrogeological assessments regarding groundwater flows to identify contamination impact and related concerns.
• Research information relating to identifying geological formations and soil delineation studies and prepares reports and geological maps based on the findings.
• Participate in the identification of viable remedial solutions consistent with all federal, state, and local regulations.
