Job summary

West Fraser is seeking an entry-level operator in South Carolina to train on basic operation in the planer or sawmill. You will learn a variety of machines and tasks while standing and walking most of the day, with occasional heavy lifting as needed.

Qualifications

• GED or better.
• No prior experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic operation in the planer or sawmill.
• Stand and walk most of the shift.
• Assist and support the operator in the assigned area.
• Participate in cleaning and housekeeping activities including sweeping and shoveling.
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE (hearing protection, etc.).
