Compumeric / Bear Saver is seeking a dependable and steady-handed individual to join our fabrication team. This is an entry-level TIG welder position starting with riveting tasks and transitioning into basic non-certified TIG welding after in-house training. This is a great opportunity to grow welding skills in a hands-on environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble metal parts using rivets as part of the pre-welding process
• Learn and perform basic TIG welding after initial training period (no certification required)
  
• Work with steel components
• Follow verbal instructions and shop floor direction
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Other duties may be assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

• Preferred welding certifications

Other Requirements

• Prior experience using hand tools, rivet guns, or working in a metal shop preferred
• Willingness to train on TIG welding (must show interest)
• Good hand-eye coordination and steady hands
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours
• Able to pass a basic shop testfor steadiness, understanding, and interest
