Job summary

SkyPoint in Akron is seeking an Entry Level Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will weld and fabricate metal parts according to blueprints and specifications, operating MIG, TIG and stick welders as needed.

This full-time role offers hands-on training, attention to detail, and a path to advanced positions as you gain experience in welding and metalworking at our Akron facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior welding experience required; training provided.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Knowledge of metals and their properties.
• Strong attention to detail and physical endurance.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Entry Level Welder to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Akron. As an Entry Level Welder you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1200 per month.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints drawings and welding symbols
• Set up and operate welding equipment including MIG TIG and stick welders
• Perform various types of welding techniques on different types of metals
• Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in welding preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Proficient in MIG TIG and stick welding techniques
• Knowledge of various types of metals and their properties
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Physically fit to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time
