Job summary

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Field Services Tech I in the Line Maintenance department. This entry-level role trains toward obtaining an OK Commercial Class B license with Air Brakes and Tanker endorsement and ODEQ water/wastewater certifications within one year of hire. Must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Actively pursuing or obtaining OK CDL Class B with Air Brakes and Tanker endorsement within one year of hire.
• ODEQ Class D water and wastewater certifications within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, tractors, mowers, dump trucks, excavation equipment and other tools to maintain City-owned water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Install, repair and maintain water and wastewater infrastructure and other public property as part of Line Maintenance.
• No previous experience required; safety/security sensitive position with pre-employment and random drug testing.
