Dewberry has an immediate opening for a Graduate Engineer experienced in water, wastewater and water resources engineering, planning, and modeling, for our growing Florida Water practice in our Tampa, FL. Typical projects involve helping local, state, and regional municipal clients solve complex water and wastewater infrastructure, Planning and Asset Management challenges.

The successful candidate will collaborate and work within multi-disciplined teams for the engineering, planning, and modeling of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to develop unique solutions for our clients, including Engineering and Numeric Models for Water systems analyses.
  • Develop strategies, methods, and tools for capturing, managing, storing, and delivering infrastructure asset data.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Geospatial Technologies ArcGIS 10.X, AGOL is strongly preferred.
  • Specific experience preparing reports and design plans and specifications for municipal water and wastewater system projects.
  • Conduct likelihood and consequence of failure, and business risk assessments for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
  • Document and enhance business processes and requirements, select technology tools, and work with EAM systems while providing ongoing support.
  • Assist in the analysis, planning, execution, and monitoring of EAM implementations and technology components.
  • Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other engineering and support disciplines.
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience (preferably 2-4 years of industry experience).
  • Engineering Intern License strongly preferred or ability to obtain FL EI license within 1 year.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic modeling software WaterGEMS, Sewer GEMS.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL concepts, relational database principles, and backend coding languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or C++.
  • Basic knowledge of data aggregation and modeling techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of AI/machine learning is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS programming is a plus.
