Job summary
Sonoma Water seeks an entry-level Water Agency Electrician/Instrumentation Technician I to learn and perform maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems across our facilities in Sonoma and Marin counties. The role offers on-site work with broader opportunities and a path to higher levels as experience grows.

Qualifications
- Completion of an academic or vocational program leading to an Associate’s degree in electronic technology or electrical industry.
- Two years of experience installing, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and replacing electrical equipment and machinery.
- California Water certifications (T1, D1, Grade 1 or above) are highly desired.
- National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and National Electrical Safety Code (NFPA 70E) training is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Learn to install, troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, repair and replace electrical equipment in all functional areas.
- Perform corrective, preventative and routine maintenance on electrical, instrumentation and control systems for Sonoma Water facilities.
- Collaborate with technical and engineering staff on construction and maintenance projects.
