Job summary

Bountiful City is seeking an entry-level Water System Operator to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of the city’s water production and distribution system. You will work under supervision and gain hands-on experience with water lines, hydrants, meters, and related infrastructure in streets and other locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and construction/maintenance experience.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of Bountiful City Water Department.
• Successfully pass background, driving record, and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair water lines, valves, hydrants, meters and related components.
• Operate equipment like trucks, compressors, jackhammers, and pipe-tapping machines safely.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation after six months.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as directed.
