Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical training in wastewater plant operations or related field.
• One year of previous experience or training preferred.
• Must possess and maintain Grade III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification within one year of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater plant equipment per procedures to ensure proper treatment.
• Collect wastewater samples and perform in-house testing; record readings and results.
• Adjust gauges, controls and valves to regulate flow and treatment processes.
• Inspect equipment, perform routine maintenance, and report failures.
• Maintain logs, reports, and records of test results and chemical applications.
