Entry Level Warehouse Worker - 1st Shift

Job Description Summary

In this position, you will receive, check, tally, store, accumulate, procure, disburse, expedite, move, and transport a variety of shop supplies, tools, and production materials. You will perform lower-rated work as required, unload and prepare parts/products for shipment, and move materials/products using cranes (level 2) and other approved equipment. You will also provide on-the-job training to other personnel and complete daily housekeeping functions including 5S and parts kitting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work from written and verbal instructions, production schedules, paperwork, and accepted shop practices.
• Receive, check, tally, store, procure, disburse, expedite, move, and transport shop supplies, tools, and materials.
• Accumulate materials, load, move, transport, and unload using cranes, lifting devices, vehicles, etc.
• Perform turnovers, spotting, and positioning of materials.
• Locate, weigh, check, sign off materials, and apply identification tags.
• Enclose items per shipping requirements.
• Maintain inventory and notify supervision of shortages or damages.
• Secure parts to vehicles or skids by blocking, bolting, bracing, etc.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED

• Prior forklift experience
• Experience in Shipping & Receiving

The pay for this position is $25.97/hour, with progression pay up to $29.19/hour, and a Night Shift Bonus of $1.00/hour.
