Job summary

Purolator in Bridgewater is seeking an AM Sorter to sort freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules. Responsibilities include unloading freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor, unloading from conveyor into trucks, loading freight into linehaul/trailer, preloading mail, transferring bulk items, and scanning shipments for proper sorting.

English proficiency is required; specialized education is not needed and no experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted items or mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
