Job summary

Rexel USA in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Warehouse Associate I to join the Platt team. You will fill customer orders, receive and stock materials, and prepare shipments while maintaining safety and accuracy.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs and safety guidelines and involves operating forklift and pallet jack as needed. No deliveries are required; the job supports efficient warehouse processes, inventory control, and timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Prior warehouse experience a plus.
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
• High School or GED - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment.
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Rules.
• Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses and verify quantities.
• Keep incoming orders stocked on shelves and report freight damage claims.
• Prepare branch orders and ensure correct product is shipped.
• Process shipment paperwork and insure shipments as needed.
• Operate forklift, reach truck, and wire cutting machine when required.
• Load common carrier and company vehicles.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• May perform other branch duties including counter sales and customer support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
