Job summary

New Mexico Administrative Office of the District Attorneys in Farmington seeks an entry-level Victim/Witness Assistant to support victims and witnesses through court notifications, case file management, and restitution-related paperwork.

You will learn the criminal justice process, assist with court proceedings, and coordinate with community resources while handling confidential information; standard hours Monday–Friday, with potential on-call and occasional court travel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the criminal justice system, court proceedings, and procedures.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare victim and witness notification of court and non-court events.
• Create and maintain case files, including electronic records in the case management system.
• Assist victims with restitution, compensation, and return of property paperwork.
