Job summary

WM is seeking an Assistant, Mechanic Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of vehicles and equipment. You will work under supervision, follow established procedures, and ensure safe, efficient operation of machinery and systems. This role demands a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.

You must have your own tools, be at least 18, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. A valid driver's license is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Follow established procedures and safety rules including PPE and OSHA standards.
• Document work, parts usage, and labor hours in the fleet system.
• Perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, lubrication, and inspections.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems and components for proper operation.
• Assist other technicians and support shop operations as needed.
