Job summary

Burford’s Construction in Plainfield, IN is seeking an entry-level Learner to support vegetation management and clearing activities for our power grid maintenance projects. You will assist in safety checks, operate light vehicles, and participate in storm restoration efforts as needed.

No prior experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is expected, and a valid driver’s license is required with CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• No experience required for Learner role.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Must read/write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in vegetation management and clearing.
• Assist in safety checks and PPE usage.
• Join storm restoration efforts as needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely.
• Participate in ongoing training to build skills.
