Job summary

Greif in Meridian, MS is seeking a Core/Tube Cutting Machine Operator to join our assembly team. Under direct supervision, you will operate routine production machinery, read job specifications, and measure parts with a tape measure to meet required tolerances.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a pay rate of $19.55 per hour. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety guidelines while contributing to a clean, organized 5S workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
• Carry out routine activities that produce the required quantity of parts within establish specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced. Reports errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. Routinely clean and lubricate equipment.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. (5S standards)
• Follow all safety regulations.
• Packages products according to customer’s specifications.
• Help in other areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Steel-toe shoes are required.
