The State of West Virginia is seeking a Transportation Financial Associate to join the Financial Division. This entry-level role provides accounting support under close supervision, performing routine posting and adjusting to the general ledger, and processing claims and invoices.

Responsibilities include reviewing transactions for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, and performing related work as required.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in accounting, bookkeeping, budget, or business experience.
• Substitution: Successful completion of coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience through an established formula.
