Job summary

Dewberry is seeking Entry Level Transportation Engineers to join its Transportation Group in Richmond, VA. You will contribute to design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage, erosion control, and construction/ROW plans for a variety of projects.

As an entry-level hire, you’ll participate in a structured program with professional development events, mentorship from senior engineers, and opportunities to apply latest technology in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation) required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency using MicroStation required; Geopak and OpenRoads experience preferred.
• Experience with MDOT SHA, MdTA, and/or VDOT plans preferred.
• Working knowledge of MDOT SHA, MdTA, and/or VDOT standards preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• FE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, erosion and sediment control, and development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes.
• Preparation of construction and right-of-way acquisition plans.
• Collaborate with project teams on a variety of transportation projects.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $82,000 - $84,500 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
