Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Group in the Baltimore, MD office. The role offers a path for professional growth as you work on diverse transportation projects and learn modern design techniques.

You will contribute to design of alignments, drainage, erosion control, and traffic plans while collaborating with experienced professionals. 0–2 years of experience and a bachelor’s in civil engineering with transportation focus are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Transportation required.
• 0–2 years experience in transportation engineering preferred; internship helpful.
• FE/EIT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of horizontal and vertical alignments for transportation projects.
• Develop drainage, erosion and sediment control plans.
• Prepare maintenance and protection of traffic schemes and construction/right-of-way plans.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation) required
• 0 – 2 years experience
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Strong communication, written and organizational skills
• Experience with MicroStation and Microsoft Office is required
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineering in Training (EIT) is preferred
• Valid driver’s license preferred

The projected range for this position is $82,500 - $85,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
