Job summary

Cordoba Corporation is seeking an Associate Engineer to join the Transportation Sector in Sacramento, CA. The role provides entry‑level engineering and technical support, drafting, and project coordination while gaining hands‑on experience in transportation infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities include creating and revising drawings, supporting with calculations, and assisting with documentation and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a closely related engineering field.
• 1 year of relevant engineering, drafting, design, or construction support experience (or 5 years without a degree).
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation).
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and construction documentation; proficiency with MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and maintain engineering drawings and construction support documents using CAD software.
• Assist engineers with maintenance, drafting, and construction support activities for transportation projects.
• Review drawings, plans, specs for completeness and accuracy.
• Incorporate redlines and manage drawing files per project standards.
• Support field staff with sketches, as-built documentation, and quantity takeoffs.
• Coordinate with project team members to support delivery and document management.
