Job summary

Reliable Transmission Service in New York is seeking an enthusiastic entry-level trainee for a full-time technical position. You will be trained to disassemble transmission components, clean parts, and inspect them with precision tools while learning inventory management and shipping/receiving.

Qualifications

• Some mechanic or parts experience desired.
• Safely and efficiently learn to use mechanics tools and equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
• Must be physically able to work in a job-site environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in warehouse conditions with occasional exposure to extreme heat/cold.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble transmission components using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Thoroughly clean parts utilizing manual cleaning procedures as well as aqueous spray cabinets.
• Inspect components visually and with precise measuring devices.
• Keep a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Perform any other duty as instructed by your supervisor.
