Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Experience in field inspections, QA, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of ITS and traffic signal installations.
• Verify contractor compliance with plans, specs, MUTCD, and CDOT requirements.
• Document daily inspection activities, quantities, materials, and test results.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and certifications.
• Witness and document acceptance testing of signals and connectivity.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and agency staff to resolve field issues.
• Take measurements and document quantities for pay item verification and progress payments.
• Maintain accurate field notes, photographs, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure work zone traffic control complies with approved plans and safety standards.
