Job summary

Advanced Process Solutions LLC (APS) is seeking a Fabrication Technician 1 to assemble and weld plastic cabinets using extrusion, hot air, butt fusion, and orbital welding on PFA, PTFE, PVDF, PP, and HDPE.

You will operate CNC routing, perform quality inspections, and support the production floor from setup to shipping. APS provides on-the-job training; prior welding or fabrication experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Prior fabrication, welding, or manufacturing experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Exposure to welding processes (plastic or metal) is a plus; thermoplastic welding techniques training required.
• Mechanical aptitude; comfortable with tools and machinery; follow instructions precisely.
• Familiarity with plastics or industrial materials is a plus; training on APS materials will be provided.
• Ability to read (or learn) engineering drawings and work orders; prior experience is a plus.
• Dependable, punctual, takes pride in their work; growth within the company.
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain extrusion welders and orbital welding systems; fabricate plastic cabinets to strict standards.
• Operate CNC routing machinery for precision plastic sheet cutting and component prep.
• Provide real-time production updates to the Fabrication Manager to track throughput and delivery.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspection to ensure units meet structural and cleanliness standards.
• Fill any role on the production floor, from material prep through final testing and shipping.
• Follow work orders and material flow to meet delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate with senior fabricators and learn new tasks as skills develop.
