Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Mount Holly Springs is seeking an entry-level Test Technician.

This position offers on-the-job training, a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and a culture focused on safety, teamwork, and career growth within a global leader in timing devices. You will read process documentation, operate test equipment (including multimeters), perform basic surface-mount soldering, and interpret test data to determine pass/fail results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years in manufacturing or similar environment preferred.
• Quality and safety minded and detail-oriented.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Basic PC skills and math knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Identify, read, and interpret process documentation to perform a variety of automated testing.
• Interpret test data to determine pass / fail test results.
• Troubleshoot test failures, equipment malfunctions, and product issues to determine root cause and support corrective actions.
• Operate test equipment (multimeter) and automated test systems.
• Basic soldering of surface mount components.
• Other duties as assigned.
