Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Charleston, SC seeks a Test Engineer I to support the Microbial Solutions site. The role focuses on designing and executing UAT cases for software/hardware and identifying defects for resolution.

You will work with software development teams and other internal groups to ensure timely delivery, while supporting field teams with released software and maintaining proficiency in standard Windows tools.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher
• 1–2 years in software testing or QA; familiarity with alpha/beta testing or validation testing considered
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Motivated with initiative

Responsibilities

• Design and execute User Acceptant Test (UAT) cases for software/hardware
• Identify software/hardware defects with detailed reporting
• Collaborate with Software Development and other internal groups to meet project timelines
• Provide technical assistance for released/unreleased software to field teams, internal departments, and satellite facilities
• Utilize base Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) effectively
• Contribute to software development sprint cycles (standups, demos, reviews)
• Draft technical documents aligned with software development cycles
