Job summary

Alamon Inc. is seeking a Level I Telecommunication Technician to support installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure at customer facilities.

The role develops hands-on skills under supervision and offers a path to advance in telecom installation. This entry-level position requires travel after an initial training period, and rewards diligence with exposure to central offices, data centers, and wireless sites across the country; lodging is provided during travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• Willingness to travel nationwide after training.
• Must be proficient with a laptop and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent time-management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with telecom equipment installation and removal.
• Install and secure equipment racks, cabinets, cable racks, ladder rack, and related infrastructure.
• Route, dress, secure, label, and terminate telecommunications cabling under supervision.
• Assist with installation of DC power cabling, grounding and bonding, battery systems, rectifiers, power plants, and associated equipment.
• Assist with fiber-optic and copper cable installation and routing.
• Perform basic equipment assembly and hardware installation.
• Read and follow basic engineering drawings, installation specifications, site documentation, and MOPs with supervision.
