Entry Level Technician I – Salt Lake City, Utah

(Intertek-PSI) team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a great opportunity to develop a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry.

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) offers construction assurance, testing, and inspection services in civil and commercial construction, including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

Responsibilities:

• Operate testing equipment and conduct tests (soil, concrete, etc.), and report findings.
• Use drawings, specifications, and diagrams for testing procedures.
• Make detailed observations of site activities and interpret results within established procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• 1 year of construction-related field experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record.
• Ability to work off-shift and overtime as needed.
• Physical ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Good communication skills, capable of receiving detailed information orally and making discriminations in sound.
• Ability to kneel, squat, walk, and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb and work at various heights occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ACI Certification.
