Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership procedures; familiarize yourself with the service department and procedures
• Assist Service Advisor in test-driving vehicles and testing components and systems. Learn how to use diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if any additional service is needed, and provide estimates of time required for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
