Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an entry-level engineer to help develop resilient command-and-control networking for unmanned aerial systems operating in remote, contested environments requiring high reliability and autonomy.

You will enable C2 capabilities, derive requirements, design networked components, and deploy hardware in lab and flight-test setups, supporting HIL validation and high-latency conditions. This role offers growth in a defense tech environment.

Qualifications

This entry-level role focuses on developing resilient command-and-control (C2) networking capabilities for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) that operate in remote, contested environments requiring high reliability and autonomy.

What You'll Do

• Enable UAS C2 capabilities through resilient network design and architecture
• Derive system, subsystem, and component-level requirements for networking infrastructure
• Design, develop, and maintain system components in complex networked environments
• Deploy, configure, and maintain lab and flight-test networking hardware including tactical radios, switches, routers, and edge compute nodes
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) integration and bench testing to validate network reliability and throughput for command-and-control and sensor data
• Build and maintain physical and virtual test setups to simulate contested, high-latency, or bandwidth-constrained network environments

What You Need

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, Physics, Computer Science, or other relevant engineering discipline)
• Passion for networking, system design, and engineering fundamentals
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and protocols
• Demonstrated ownership and impact from internships or side projects
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience as a network engineer executing engineering-level tasks individually and as part of a team
• Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems
• Experience with test script development using Python, MATLAB, or similar languages
• Familiarity with RF integration, particularly with unmanned aerial systems
• Familiarity with tactical radios

• Base salary $100,000–$145,000 USD.
