Duties, Responsibilities & Other
  • Willingness and ability to learn to operate and maintain vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate pneumatic air tools such as jackhammers and pogo tampers.
  • Create legible field sketches, perform simple mathematics, and take basic field measurements.
  • Learn and understand ASCE 38-02/38-22 SUE Standards.
  • Possess a valid current driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License is a plus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to perform strenuous activities and work under adverse conditions (heat, cold, hilly terrain, wildlife, bugs).
  • Regular out-of-town travel expected; per diem and lodging provided if required.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening required; background and motor vehicle checks may be required.

  • Accurately record and report daily forms.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors.
  • Proactively resolve problems at the lowest level.
  • Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Review work for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
  • Submit accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports weekly.
  • Review jobsite safety daily and address issues promptly.
  • Follow OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Maintain certifications and participate in training.
  • Perform tasks according to industry standards and client requirements.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
