You will work under supervision on fitting, drilling, riveting, reading blueprints, and performing basic shop math, with the goal of progressing to a fully proficient structural mechanic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry level position with structured development program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic English reading/writing/listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Fit detail parts and perform basic drilling and riveting with hand tools (pneumatic drills, rivet gun, countersinks, reamers).
• Read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to determine sequence of operation.
• Align and assemble parts to be riveted using holding fixtures, pins, clamps and fasteners.
• Observe and assist to become familiar with parts and assemblies, then work with decreasing supervision as experience is gained.
