Job summary

GRAEF is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our Structural group in Milwaukee, WI. You will collaborate with engineers and architects on projects nationwide, ranging from small to complex, in healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.

You will design and analyze structural systems, apply building codes, prepare calculations and reports, and support field work. Growth and mentorship are emphasized in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis is required.
• Master's degree and EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of professional structural design experience is described as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for a wide variety of building types and materials.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, and construction documents under guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist with shop drawing review, submittal review, and RFI responses during construction.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
• Assist with BIM modeling and drafting in Revit, including drawing production and model coordination.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, and existing condition assessments.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence and client service.
