Salas O’Brien in Lakewood, CO is seeking an Entry-level Structural Engineer to design and manage industrial and commercial building projects and to grow our existing dynamic team. We specialize in a wide range of building types and support projects across the US with multi-discipline collaboration.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Registered EIT.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in consulting structural engineering with industrial and commercial building focus.
• Experience in concrete, masonry, steel, timber and foundations design.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Experience with Mission Critical Facilities, Seismic design D/E/F, extreme wind, blast-resistant structures.

Responsibilities

• Full life-cycle project design from kick-off to construction document production and construction oversight.
• Join and lead project teams in our Building Design and Non-building structures studios.
• Produce engineering documents such as reports, calculations, and drawings that are complete and technically accurate.
• Assist clients regarding technical design issues, coordination of document preparation, and submittals.
• Utilize design software such as RISA, Enercalc, RAM, Bluebeam, and REVIT to produce construction drawings.

We specialize in the design of industrial buildings and structures, commercial buildings including schools, healthcare, police and fire stations, office buildings, worship spaces, industrial facilities, petrochemical control buildings, luxury resorts, and more. Our design professionals support projects all over the US and integrate with multi-discipline engineering teams on a wide array of projects. Qualifications And Experience

• ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Registered EIT
• 0 to 3 years of experience in consulting structural engineering with industrial and commercial building focus
• Experience in projects of similar breadth and depth of structural engineering services offered by Salas O’Brien
• The desire to work towards the Company's goal of excellent and timely service.
• Experience in the design of concrete, masonry, steel, timber and foundations is required.
• Experience in the following is a plus:
• Mission Critical Facilities and Structures
• Seismic design categories D, E and F
• Extreme wind loading
• Blast-resistant structures
• Strong time management skills and self-starter a must
• Ability to learn from, and work with other team members

Travel: Up to 10%

The expected base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $102,000USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
