KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking an entry-level Structural Designer to join our California offices. You will work in a team-based environment that connects interns to Principals, with opportunities for hands-on learning, collaboration, and broad exposure to real-world structural projects.

We support professional growth through training, mentoring, and a generous benefits program. The role includes normal office hours with potential hybrid scheduling after the training period.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structures and a coursework portfolio.
• Transcripts must show completed courses in Concrete, Steel, or Wood Design.
• No full-time work experience required.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structures preferred.
• Candidates with EIT certification are helpful (preferred).
• GPA 3.0+ in Bachelor's coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a team structure supporting interns to Principals.
• Assist engineers with project tasks and documentation.
• Contribute to training, educational programs, and technical sessions.
• Engage in problem solving and design discussions with peers.
