Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, seeks an entry-level Structural EI to join our Water/Wastewater team. You will work with multidisciplinary project teams on the structural design of facilities from concept through construction, gaining experience in analysis, drawings, reports, and project delivery.

The role offers mentorship, training opportunities, and potential licensure support. A civil/structural engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program and relevant degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural analysis and design of systems (concrete, steel, masonry).
• Assist development and review of structural drawings and details with other disciplines.
• Support design concepts, calculations, and construction documents.
• Participate in field investigations and site visits.
• Assist with engineering reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Assist with review of shop drawings and contractor submittals.
• Research applicable codes and standards for project design.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to develop technical skills.
