Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our Transportation group in Canonsburg, PA. This role offers growth opportunities in a collaborative environment and exposure to advanced design techniques.

The successful candidate will contribute to transportation projects, assist with alignments, drainage, and contract plans, and work within a supportive team. 0–2 years experience and a Civil Engineering degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis is required.
• 0–2 years of experience preferred but new graduates are welcome.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience using CADD tools such as MicroStation or AutoCAD is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office software is expected.
• Desire to work in a team environment; FE is preferred.

Responsibilities

The individual will work as part of a team in all facets of transportation engineering including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes, and preparation of contract plans for a variety of project types and clients.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with Structural Engineering emphasis)
• 0-2 years experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Proficiency in MS Office software

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred
