Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a well-rounded, highly motivated structural engineer with 0-2 years of experience to join our Civil and Marine Division as a Design Engineer. Our structural group is expanding, and we are looking for a forward-thinking engineer eager to learn and grow with the company. The work involves diverse, hands-on projects covering marine and structural engineering design and inspection.


The position is based at our Bell Works office in Holmdel, NJ (formerly Bell Labs), with flexible hybrid work options including fewer office days. The role includes both design and field work/inspections.

Responsibilities

Qualified candidates should have a solid foundation in the design and inspection of structural/marine structures, good client communication skills, and a motivation to learn and work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • 0-2+ years of experience in structural engineering.
  • EIT Certification is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of steel, concrete, timber design; familiarity with codes such as IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and instructions.
