Magnolia Plumbing, LLC in the DC metro area is hiring a Helper for the Stormwater Department. This entry‑level role involves physical labor outdoors, assisting foremen with drainage installations, cleaning structures, and basic maintenance of stormwater systems.

You’ll learn field trades under skilled professionals and gain hands‑on experience in drainage infrastructure. Ideal candidates value safety, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety at all times.
• Reliable transportation and attendance.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors.
• Ability to pass a flagger written test; training provided.
• 2 years of construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist foremen and tradesmen with daily stormwater and drainage work.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining storm drainage structures.
• Assist with stormwater drainage system installation and maintenance.
• Dig ditches and manholes as directed.
• Perform continuous shoveling of wet material.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and deliveries.
• Assist with jobsite cleanup and demolition.
• Perform flagging as directed.
• Assist with confined space work.
• Follow directions from foremen and tradesmen.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures.
