Job summary

The Sterile Processing Technician at Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of instruments in compliance with policies and regulations.

Under supervision, you will prepare sterile instruments, maintain records, and ensure readiness for patient care; requires high school diploma and IAHCSMM/CBSPD certification, with 0–1 year SPD experience. This is an on-site role with hourly pay and a 12-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD required; if not certified on hire, must obtain within one year.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize instruments per medical center policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with state, local, and federal requirements; assist with documentation and inventory as needed.
