Job summary

UCHealth Med Ctr of the Rockies in Loveland, CO is seeking an entry-level Sterile Processing Technician to perform core sterile processing functions onsite. The role requires CSPDT or CRCST certification, or eligible for certification, and offers a daytime shift with full-time hours.

The position emphasizes decontamination, sterilization, and instrument tracking, with a focus on accuracy, speed, and adherence to IFU guidelines in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from HSPA.

Responsibilities

• Performs instrument and equipment decontamination and cleaning following IFU’s and inspects items prior to packaging.
• Performs appropriate sterilization of instrument and equipment based on IFUs and inspects indicators, filters and labels.
• Performs routine cleaning and sterilizer testing, including biological monitoring, leak testing, and Bowie-Dick tests as appropriate.
• Documents work performed using instrument tracking software or paper documentation as required.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and uses critical thinking to take appropriate action.
