Job summary

Quality Life Services, a Western PA healthcare network, seeks a Staff Accountant to join our team. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support audits and compliance across our multi-entity operation.

You will work with the Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, close monthly books, generate reports, and help improve processes. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience in healthcare or multi-entity environment preferred.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for general ledger activity.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, prepaid, fixed assets, and payroll-related accounts.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes and timely financial statements.
• Generate, analyze, and present financial reports to management, identifying variances and trends.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate data and insights.
• Assist with annual audits, cost reports, tax filings, and external reporting.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with operations, payroll, HR, and billing to align financial data across service lines.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial workflows and systems.
