Job summary

The Behavior Helper Academy in Saint Charles is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional for a school-based, entry-level role. We provide full training and ongoing support to help you empower students with developmental disabilities.

You’ll work 1:1 or in small groups, use ABA strategies, collect data for IEP goals, and receive CPI certification, BCBA supervision, and ongoing professional development. No ABA experience is required—we train you and support your growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree (education, psychology, ABA, related field) preferred but not required.
• Experience with children or special needs is helpful.
• No ABA experience required — we train you!

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 or in small groups with students.
• Use ABA strategies (training provided) to build communication, academic, social, and life skills.
• Help reduce challenging behaviors and support positive growth.
• Implement behavior plans under the supervision of a BCBA and teachers.
• Collect data and support IEP goals
