Ampacity is seeking a Commissioning Technician I to support commissioning of utility-scale solar projects. This entry-level role builds fundamental technical skills in installation standards, quality processes, and documentation while contributing to real projects from day one.

You will learn Ampacity's standards under supervision and work across outdoor solar construction sites, with potential travel. The position emphasizes hands-on learning, strong organization, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, or technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, thorough documentation.
• Clear communication and customer service orientation.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Verify installations against blueprints and specifications.
• Perform routine quality checks and flag discrepancies.
• Assist with in-field retrofits and modifications.
• Maintain accurate records and submittals per SOPs.
• Support troubleshooting of trackers both remotely and on-site.
