Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer Level 0 to develop, maintain, and enhance software for mission-critical government systems.

You will work with an experienced team to design, code, test, and debug while delivering reliable, high-performance solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Four years of Software Engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to develop software design and performance solutions
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and components
• Debug existing software and resolve defects
• Modify existing software to add new features and improve functionality
• Integrate software into new or modified operating environments
• Develop simple database queries for existing and proposed data repositories
• Participate in software testing and document test results
• Support software integration and system validation activities
• Contribute to software design discussions, including hardware/software tradeoffs and reuse of COTS and GOTS solutions
• Follow established software development methodologies and engineering best practices
• Collaborate with software engineers and system engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
